Addressing your concerns
Planning what happens when you die can seem daunting. But leaving your loved ones burdened with bills and responsibilities is the last thing you would wish for them.
Here are a number of typical concerns we’ve received from customers in the past – and how we can address them.
The Costs
Funeral costs can be more than £3000 and they’re rising by 10% per annum. How can I or my family afford to pay for my funeral?
These days, the cost of funerals is constantly on the rise. At Avalon, we guarantee to fix the price from the very beginning. It doesn’t matter if you live for 5 or 50 years after you take out the plan, or how much costs increase – the price of your funeral will remain the same.
Payment
Funeral bills have to be paid within a short time frame. How will they pay?
The money that you pay is deposited into the safe hands of a number of major banks. After the funeral, the funeral director has access to the fee from Avalon’s trust fund, ensuring everything is paid for.
Flexible Payment Methods
How do I pay for my chosen funeral plan?
How you choose to pay for the funeral plan is up to you. It may be that you have a cash sum set aside for funeral costs, in which case, you can simply transfer the sum to Avalon Funeral Trust. You may prefer to pay in instalments, in which case, you can decide how much you’d like to pay as a deposit and decide on the method that’s best for you.
Distress
How will my family cope with the additional worries and stress, and make the standard 50 decisions concerning funeral arrangements?
By taking out a funeral plan with Avalon, all of these worries are taken care of right away. Your family will simply notify Avalon of your death and our team will begin the funeral arrangements.
Control
How can I be sure that I’ll get the funeral service I want?
We believe that you should be in control every step of the way. The funeral arrangements are put into place according to your specific requirements. When you die, it takes just one call to our 24-hour bereavement line and the funeral director is then legally responsible for making the arrangements for your chosen plan.
Health
The state of my health has prevented me from buying Life Insurance. Is there an alternative?
Unlike most insurance companies, we accept anyone as a member – regardless of how old you are or the state of your health.
